HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT

The department of Psychology at St. Aloysius College was established in the year 2000. The initial batch consisted of 30 students under the able guidance of Ms. Ratna Pinto in its first year. Ms. Shalini Aiyappa, the present HOD, joined the department of psychology at St. Aloysius College in the year 2001. The department has flourished ever since under her efficient and committed leadership. The psychology laboratory was set up in the year 2003.
