Visit to Olavina halli by the final year students

The final year students of the Department of Psychology visited the old age home at Olavina halli, Ullal on 10 October 2007. They arrived at the old age home at 10.15 am and had interactive sessions with the inmates there. Olavinahalli was started as a rehabilitation home for the lepper patients by Sr. Amelia Cimolino from Italy. It presently houses about 92 people which include bed-ridden and convalescing leppers.
The inmates are housed in four different sectors in a beautiful, lush area with vast area for cultivation and gardening. The students spent a lot of time talking and singing with the aged people there. They bede farewell at about 1.30pm.
